"Well I'm glad someone is." Although the words sound bitter, the smile on Ludger's face shows there's no true malice to it. Certainly the food he had been preparing for the pair of them was now thoroughly ruined - Alvin was apparently very good at being distracting - but the agent didn't see any true reason to complain. Besides, the point of the evening was to 'get to know' the elder better, not the dinner.
