also life update! im dating now. yay.
it’s @evilbled :3c
Ah yes, she should have known that he'd be round to the bar, given the day and the loss he'd suffered. Doc was really a father figure, someone that had been there for Murphy and Connor when their own father was away. [Text: Murphy] Down a shot for me, love. [Text: Murphy] I'm fine, Murph, don't worry about me. [Text: Murphy] I'll be down there soon, okay?
There had already been a shot taken in honor of Doc. One for Greenley. One for Rocco. One for Da. Each time the glass had been tapped on the bar - and flipped over when it was done. Sort of a sobering thing, really, the day that this had all started and the lives that it had claimed with it. But they had changed things too. They had snuffed out evil - and lives were able to flourish with it too. That was what they had to remember.
Don't worry she said. Of course he would anyway.
[ Text : Wynter ] Alright love. I'll be waiting.
How she had managed to score tickets to see Flogging Molly, on Saint Patrick's day, In the heart of Boston, was beyond her. Those little fuckers were like getting her hands on gold, and she was damn proud of herself for getting them. [Text: Murphy] Love, are you awake? [Text: Murphy] I have a surprise for you, is it okay if I come over?
It was an anonymous benefactor that had kept the bar still in business after Doc had passed. Months paid in advance for it's rent, without question, without delay. The new manager new of the tenants that kept to themselves above the loft, and spoke not a word of their existence. Sometimes they were there. Sometimes they weren't. That was all in details that were looked over, anyway.
Tonight the bar was rowdy, as to be expected. The patrons paid no mind when three newcomers had joined them at the counter. Like they'd been there all along, really. Same stools two of them had sat so long ago...
Feeling his phone buzz, Murphy stuck the cigarette he was holding between his lips to fish it out of his pocket. Seeing the message he smiled slightly.
[Text : Wynter ] Of course - at the bar. [ Text: Wynter ] Surprise? You sure you’re up for a visit?
surprise ; morrigan&callisto
Almost all of the manticore have been dealt with. Not a huge feat, considering they are violent and thoughtless in most cases. Morrigan had personally suggested they use them as fodder for demigods to hunt because the dull things made great first kills for growing children. The idea had not been received well, much to her disdain.
Still, they had other uses.
Callisto was a darling little thing. One of Yerin's friends. A bit eccentric, or so Morrigan imagined the girl saw herself as such. There was potential. She was also so very interested in things that appeared ominous, which had given the goddess the idea in the first place.
There's no way the demigoddess would have been able to see one of the beasts on her own, the aspect too dangerous considering her lack of battle skills, but there is another way.
"Here he is. I've named him spot." Ever present, the edge of sarcasm drips from Morrigan's words when she stops in a clearing deep into the forest. Illuminated by torches a manticore is curled up withing a cage of blackened metal, dark, soulless human eyes staring up at the demigoddess and his 'owner'. It blinks slowly, tail lashing.
Morrigan encourages the girl closer, walking forward before stopping close and placing her hands on her hips, inspecting the monster with a soft smile.
"Isn't he just precious?"
surprise ; Ashley & Matt
Ashley didn’t talk to Matt much. They sat just a few rows away from one another in their seventh grade classroom, but they really only knew one another through Ashley’s friendship with Jess, another girl in their class who was decent friends with Matt.
However, when Ashley was told that her mom was marrying Matt’s dad, she realized she had to start talking to the kid-- her future step-brother. It still sounded totally weird to her, but she’d have to get used to it.
When the bell rang for recess, she immediately walked up to the boy, her hand shoved in her jean pockets of out of nervousness. “Hey.”
peek a boo; pjh & kjd
@mthchen
Another day, another path taken down an unfamiliar road on search for something to do, someone new to meet, anything to occupy the ghost’s empty day. It was always when his best friend had gone to sleep when Jae managed to wander around town and find himself nearly on the opposite side of it; he couldn’t stand staying in one place without any company or some form of entertainment.
So today, he finds himself walking down a street, hands in the pockets of his jeans and squinted eyes (avoiding the glaring sun) peeking around in search for someone who’d might be able to see him-- It was always what he’d end up doing, and also a way of meeting some of the naturals in town. It takes a while sadly until he does find someone, though it’s usually just a quick wave of the hand or a nod of their head before the two continue going about their ways.
However today was different. The natural he happened to stumble upon-- wasn’t necessarily his ideal person to talk to, but they definitely did provide him some company and happiness. Today, after an unknown time looking for someone, he settled with this child who had who-know’s-what-type of blood in her, and who looked up at Jae with a curiosity and innocence sparkling in her eyes that he hadn’t seen in years--.... A kid would probably be better company anyways.
And that’s how he found himself, sitting down on the floor across this toddler and entertaining both himself and her with a plush animal (really just bouncing it around and mimicking a conversation with the one she held); a soft smile painting onto his expression as little giggles and mumbles from the child echoed through the room.
