There were a few things Lucius truly hated in this world. Darkspawn. Mages who couldn't control themselves. And the Blooming Rose. It's been over a year since his wife, Ruby had died...he remembered the day as clear as anything. It'd also been the first time he'd meet Hawke, right up before the Darkspawn claimed his wife and her sibling. He tried not to think about it too often. Tried not to think about her too often. But since that long-ago day, he'd been unwaveringly loyal to two people--Hawke and his wife.
A loyalty that got tested every time he entered The Blooming Rose. But their quest led them here so, he dutifully followed Hawke in. Already repulsed by the shamelessness of the place and ready to get out as soon as possible. This wasn't a place for a City Guardsman anyway.
He hung back. Let Hawke take care of business. Of course, he wasn't left alone for long. He felt one of the whores slip in beside him and draw her fingers over his hair. "First time at the Rose, soldier?" She cooed. He realized it must seem like that--he was tense.
His spine went rigid at her touch--he'd never much like other people's hands on him. "If y'want to keep your fingers, I suggest y'put them elsewhere," he snapped, lowly. The whore's eyes flew wide before she shrank back. He realized he'd caught the group's attention with his not-so-gentle warning, and cleared his throat awkwardly once before tilting his head in a shrug, "Carry on."
