SNOWBLIND - THE DUCHESS'S CAGE
The Thorned Heir's *controversial* rise to power has produced more than a few pockets of resistance and heretical civil disobedience, but when these criminals are finally brought to justice, where do they all go...why, they go to THE DUCHESS'S CAGE. Once Hometown's Police Headquarters, it is now a fortress of sheer stone, barbed wire and twisting iron. The most unassailable prison in all of the frozen wastes. Its brutality is exemplified by its warden, The Duchess, one of the foremost lieutenants of the Thorned Heir, a position she earns with her diligence in ensuring the prisoners' hopes are crushed, and their chances of escape dwindle far enough that Snowblindness becomes inevitable, no matter how much the poor fools may believe otherwise.
If one finds themselves locked away in the Cage, depending on their infamy, they may find themselves able to work off their sentence either working in minimum security and assembling myriad items and devices for the Heir's other lieutenants and projects...or if one is heretical enough, they'll spend their sentence in the dark halls of solitary confinement. Either way, it's important to remember that nobody has ever left the Cage, and if The Duchess gets her way...nobody ever will.
