I just wanna say to my fellow Americans showing up for No Kings Day 2, I applaud you, and I am proud of you. I know many of us have skin in this, that this is an act of self preservation as well as an act of solidarity.
Don't let anyone make you feel as though you are unreasonable, or that your pain is irrational. It's not. The fact that you are turning that pain into strength is one of the bravest things we can do.
There's nothing I wish for more than that I could be by your side, but where I can't show up today, I hope I can show up tomorrow and the next day, and the next, even if it's in small ways. Even if it's in planting seeds. Even if it's being that small piece of dirt in the cogs. It is you that inspire me everyday. It is you, fighting for yourself and for all of us, that leaves me in awe.
Please stay safe, look out for each other, and whatever you do, do not give the Trump Administration what they want. They want us violent, they want their cruelty to infect us, but the strongest thing we can do now is stand our ground.
So show up in your inflatables, dance around with your friends, sing your songs, laugh, cry, and hold each other. That is our strength, that is what this administration will never understand. That when they tried their hardest to divide us, we came together.
Love you all. Stay safe!
