Best train shots of the Bodensee Rundfahrt
Long post coming up! I'm just going to describe the photos with a few remarks, before some notes on how the Bodensee S-Bahn operates. Until I get a masterpost up, if you've missed the Bodensee round trip, here's the final post and there are links to work backwards from there.
Allensbach, Germany. SBB Seehas RABe 521 FLIRT on a S6 local service between Engen and Konstanz.
apparently, a new train to Wien i didnt know existed, seen this morning in Zagreb
two (older?) nightjet coaches (theyre pretty, they have stars painted on them) and three of the other ones, hž 1411 309 locomotive.
i think its one of those trains where they change the locomotive at each border crossing bc of different electrification or sth.
i know slovenians have multiple voltage locomotives, idk why they dont just use those

International trains
ÖBB Railjet and CD Eurocity on my modeltrain layout
Austria State railways - Inlandswagen, also known as Lange Schlieren. Mainly used on the inland express trains until mid 1990s. Here the Type: BRmpz, later transformed into 2nd Class driver-cabs.
So the train to Budapest was delayed, not by much, it was like 30 minutes, I didnt even really notice, and suddenly I get the notification on my international payment app that I was reimbursed like 60% of the ticket price. 20 minutes after we arrived. In Austria you can ask for money if you're THREE HOURS late and you actively have to apply for the reimbursement!! I can safely say now that I <3 the Hungarian rail service!
