Whoa, today's name made me do a real double take! Or I should probably say triple take. The name 轟 is usually read Todoroki, but it can also be Todoro or Domeki. It's a pretty rare name, belonging to maybe 6,500 people in Japan.
The character 轟 is made up of three iterations of the 車 car/vehicle radical. It means roar, thunder, boom, or resound. It's used in the verbs 轟かす (todorokasu) to make a thundering sound, or 轟く (todoroku) to reverberate, to be well known, or to palpitate/throb. It can also be read kō or gō, as in 轟音 (gō-on) roaring/thunderous sound, or 轟々 (gō-gō) clamorous or uproarious.
