I feel like Atem’s the type of person to eye the pet store window longingly every time they pass it but frustratingly Never Mentions Why. So Kaiba has to go and ask Atem’s friends what kind of animal Atem actually Wants.
(He feels so stupid when someone tells him it’s a cat. Of course it’s a cat. Atem has three cat figurines on his nightstand. His favorite pajama bottoms have cats on them)
(He’s more upset that of all of them only Jou had a clear answer but…)
Atem always looks So happy whenever he opens a gift from Kaiba but that…that was big sparkly-eyed hug worthy.
