The restaurant was far enough away from any company for Yuta to be at ease while he waited for his friend to show up. His shoulder slumped against the wall, a drink already set in place on the table that he ordered as soon as he arrived and a menu left open from when he mindlessly flipped through in search what he wanted to eat. He hadn’t been watching the MGA’s. Social media gave him a play by play enough, and he cut down the useless time Mnet spent hyping up and putting dramatic music in scenes. A could seconds to scroll through, wait a day and there would scenes uploaded and he could watch the performances from that. There was no reason for him to waste his time -- but that didn’t mean he didn’t want to support his friends on there.
Mark had taken the elimination hard. Youngjae and Donghyun were coming back with a vengeance. The cute girl from the coffee place was still on there, and Junhoe. The last of that list being the one he had organised to see for some food. It was better support than giving Mnet more views on television.
Yuta’s gaze darting up from his phone whenever he heard someone arrive through the door, or felt eyes on him. Another mouthful of his drink taken as he typed up a message, tilting his head and smiling to himself at the contents. Hitting send, before he dropped the phone aside and leaned forward, sipping from his beer more and reading over the menu.
( sms » ハンサム な ジューン ) → escape yet? → or did they break your legs? lol → mnet sounds like they’re running a gang → i’m not going to be taken out in a hit, am i?

Yuta knew why he was there, why Johnny was, and Mark. It was only Taeil who seemed to be along for the ride, or kidnapped against his will. Although his own presence there could have been a kidnapping. Still, he was trying to make the best of it.
The bottle of water in Yuta’s hand -- he needed it after spending the last while shouting curses into the ocean. Slowly he made his way towards the younger male, already twisting off the cap on his bottle and pouring some into the lid. His steps steadying as he hoped Taeil wouldn’t notice his approach. He seemed to be taking photographs of some sort. His focus on the device in his hands. Everything told Yuta that this was a bad idea, but he needed something to entertain himself with, to make him laugh. Trips with friends were meant to be filled with stupid actions and dramatic responses. Taeil wouldn’t be that upset with him, if he were to be upset at all -- it was fine.
Once he was reach, he tugged at the collar of Taeil’s shirt and poured the little cap of water down the back, already losing grip on the bottle lip and fumbling steps back with laughter. His focus torn between where he was going and how Taeil would react, that he stumbled over his own feet in the sand and fell back. The bottle of water splashing over himself and the sand. “Fuck-- God dammit,” slipping from his lips between chuckles, sitting up to try to dust himself off and looking over at Taeil. His eyes crinkled, curved as he amuses himself childishly.

The elimination from the MGAs was something that Yuta knew he shouldn’t bring up to the younger male. He knew if it were him, it would have hit him hard; a familiar kick to the stomach that he was realising came with wanting to be on the stage. Still, he was soaking in his own misery on the way up to Incheon, and had continued to when they arrived. Johnny had wanted him to remain sober through it, that clearly alcohol wasn’t working for him already and so maybe the sea air would do it. He didn’t know if it was helping yet or not. It didn’t seem to be, the weight still holding in his chest.
But inside the convenience store, he couldn’t help but think one drink wouldn’t be bad. A couple bags of sweets, a couple of chips in his arms, and one bottle of soda in his hand -- and temptation staring at him from fridge. It’s not as if Mark was going to say no, he could even likely convince him to drink some too. Johnny and Taeil were busy organising the other things they needed. They could have finished off a drink each, headed to meet up with the other two and nothing would be known.
Yuta glanced around him, eyes landing on Mark who was coming towards him and for a second, he’s certain he would suggest it -- and then he sees the younger’s expression and bites it back. “What do you think? I got some lollipops, some chocolate biscuit things,” he begins to list off, showing off what he had in his arms and starting to walk towards Mark. Maybe he wouldn’t know he was looking at the alcohol. “We should get some ice creams before we go, two each. Say we were worried that they’d melt by the time we found them or something.”

@rkhayley
Dance had never been Seokwoo’s strong suit, neither had rapping or singing, but he was more worried about swinging his arm in dance practice and injuring someone than killing them by a mediocre rap or a cracked note. He’d been trying to find the time to ask one of sunbae’s about how he could improve, and using dance classes to identify which one he should ask. The end of the dance class signally his time to try, eyes darting around for sight of her. His bottle of water collected up as he slowed his steps, peering around to see her already making her way out of the studio and he hastened his pace. The congestion at the door slowed his progress a bit, but he managed to catch up to her in the hallway.
“Sunbae!” He called out, trying to get her attention and earning a couple looks from the other trainees around him. It was difficult when he couldn’t remember her name. Seung.. Seung.. Everyone was busy with their own thing, and Seokwoo was still working his way around, trying to memorise names and faces. Once he’s in arms reach, he stretches to tap her shoulder, to come up beside her and gain her attention. The smile widening on his lips when he finally thought he had her attention, bowing forward in greeting. “Sunbae. I’m Kim. Seok. Woo,” he introduced, gently patting his chest on every syllable and then exhaling out. Between dance practice and the race to catch up to her, he suddenly felt the strain in his side. But he knew if he didn’t ask now, he might never get the chance.
“Are you busy now? It’s independent study time, right?” Even though he knew it was, he scratched at his neck and flashed her an uncertain smile. Something made it more conversational to ask, to seem like he was uncertain. “Would you be able to help me with something?”

@rkjohnny
He didn’t know how Johnny had convinced him -- it was a weak moment -- he’d even thought that maybe Johnny was right. That should have been a red flag on it’s own about his mental health. Never in his life had he considered that Johnny would be right about anything, a pure thought of stubbornness and one that made his nose crinkle as he glanced over his shoulder at the said younger male and then plopped the lollipop back in his mouth. Alcohol had been forbidden for their trip to Incheon, and Yuta wasn’t brave enough to ask if he could have a smoke, which left him subduing his cravings with a sweet. The waves were washing in over his feet, jeans folded up to his knees and damp from when he’d kicked at the water in frustration.
He wanted to deny that he felt better, that the rawness in his throat from screaming out his frustrations in Japanese was like emptying out his heart; pouring his anger and letting it get washed out. Now, all that was left was wounds, ones exposed to the salt water.
Yuta fingers twisting the lollipop in his mouth, looking back at Johnny again, and around over Taeil and Mark. After the younger’s elimination from the MGAs, it seemed a healing trip was necessary too. For the moment, it looked like Johnny was alone and that left Yuta lowering his head, and pretending that he wasn’t consciously going towards the other. Listless attempts to kick and nudge seashells with his toes, and digging out the sand instead. His eyes peering past his lashes at Johnny, before sighing heavy and dropping down next to the other. “What are you doing?” He asked, words garbled by the sweet tucked inside his cheek and then pulling it out to wipe his nose on the shoulder of his shirt. “I guess, I should ask what you’re thinking instead. Since that’s what you’re doing, right?”
