I spent a year rewatching Black Sails and tracking all the bits of music that repeated at any point during the show, and my findings are reinforcing that Bear McCreary is a genius and this show should have been called 'parallels that will kill you over and over again'* (tag | chronological)

Kelvin's reaction when Keefe says he overstepped his bounds XD He really doesn't think so. He doesn't think Keefe did anything even kinda wrong.

And GOOD. Because that is one of the things that makes the whole Mamma's clothes thing work.

The first reason it works and isn't JUST cringe humour is because we know Keefe is coming from a place of really desperately wanting to help his mourning boyfriend.

The second reason is that Kelvin appreciates it.

If he had been bothered or weirded out it would have felt brutal and the whole thing would just be a mess. Keefe cannot be left out in the cold about it even a little. And he is not! If anything Kelvin is annoyed with Amber for agreeing with Keefe that Keefe overstepped.

Also, Keefe has been so insecure about overstepping and feeling like he doesn't fully belong in the past, and Kelvin knows that, so of course he is against any description of Keefe's actions as overstepping T__T
