Helloe there, nice art. Would request be alright? If so I'd like either a Kiyoko Aura or a Hogi Ayumu.
If not, that's okay
More ayumu sketches incoming soon eheheheh (and I mean a lot of them ooohh...)
Top 10 character designs in IE
It's unquestionable that Inazuma Eleven has some top notch characters in terms of design. As an artist myself, I figured it would be nice to share my thoughts and make a top. Just have in mind I'm NOT a professional, and this is purely for the fun. I might forget someone or be a little biased here and there, so please deal with me.
With no further due, enjoy my ramble!
Honorable mentions
Shourinji Ayumu
Alright, I know. Not exactly a fan favorite. However, I do think his design is pretty solid! His silhouette is very distinctive and his motif very clear. One can easily tell he's inspired by martial arts. Overall, I'd say he has quite an effective design, very straightforward.
Kodoukai Kameo
I guess he's not a fan favorite either (which is a shame, because I really like him), but his design is pretty neat. He has a very recognizable silhouette, and the shape language in his design is really good. He's mainly made out of circles, which connote softness, harmlessness and approachability. Hence, the design conveys his personality perfectly.
Bjorn Kyle
This one might be self indulgent, but I live for his design! To start with, the kit is a great translation of Qatar's flag, which is something to have in mind. Additionally, the covered eye helps him exude the coldness his character conveys despite the warm color palette, as if closed off, and the make up gives him this more Arabic appearance.
Tsunami Jousuke
Our dear, dear Tsunami! So, apart from the goggles, which are a very direct reference to his love for the sea, his hair is shaped like a starfish as well as colored like it. It's very subtle character story telling but I find it quite genius.
Amemiya Taiyou
I think his hair does a great service for his character design: it reminds us of the shape of a sun, which is an important part of his motif, and gives him a very recognizable silhouette.
Afuro Terumi
As we all know, he's supposed to represent Aphrodite, goddess of love. His kit when he plays in Zeus is just breath taking, but his appearance is so too! And that's the point! Being pretty is a great design choice when it comes to him, especially the fact that the artists embraced femininity despite Afuro being a man.
Now, the actual top ten! Feel free to share your opinion ;)
10. Shindou Takuto
Remember I said something about biases? Well, it's probably this what I was referring to. But let me explain: his hair mimics the shape of many classical composers' wigs, which I find a very witty way to let us know he's a musician. The curls are deliberate! Furthermore, his doe eyes have two reasons behind them: one, so he can frown better (which is hilarious, mind you), and two, to sharpen his features. This way, you can keep the curls and convey his edged personality at the same time.
9. Tsurugi Kyousuke
I find him particularly interesting because of his shape language! When he's little, he's very round and soft, reflecting his innocent and childish self, yet when he grows up he becomes all sharp edges. This symbolizes he's matured and endured several trauma. Great storytelling too.
8. Matsuzake Tenma
I love Tenma, but he might not seem like that much at first sight. However, I decided to rank him eight because of his hair - the little whirls, particularly. And why? Well, they are a reflection of one of the most important elements of the first season of GO and, if I may be bold, the entirety of the franchise: the wind. In the original seasons and games the wind is a representation of freedom (take Someoka and Fubuki's conversation at the hospital as an example: "being like the wind again" means being free and playing for themselves and like themselves), and the theme is followed in GO, as it's a symbol of the revolution.
7. Tezcat
He doesn't necessarily have the strongest silhouette nor shape language, but his color palette is great and so is his clothing! It perfectly translates a more ethnic air to the character that fits IE's style. He doesn't stand out from the other characters despite being so unique both in background and concept.
6. Fei Rune
Fei and Tezcat are interchangeable; my arguments are the same for the both of them! Fei's higher for a personal bias, not gonna lie. 🤭
5. Gazelle and Burn
I know, I know; these are two different characters! All the same, their designs are inherently complementary to the other, so it feels right to assess them as a whole. Where to start with? Similar silhouettes that are just distinct enough to not be confused, complementary color palettes, clear motifs... It's exactly what their characters needs and flawlessly conveys their relationship. Their designs are overall great!
4. Kidou Yuuto
I couldn't possibly miss him, could I? To start with, he's very unique, even in the world of Inazuma Eleven. In terms of silhouette, he's wearing a cape, which makes him stand out. The goggles, on the other hand, remind us of the ones the militia tents to use, which is a direct reference to Kageyama's - the Commander - influence on Kidou.
3. Sakuma Jirou
He stands out to me because the artists play a lot with his design in very interesting ways. He normally looks rather soft, and he consists of mainly round shapes. That conveys he's calmer, more stable. When in the Royal Academy Redux, though, he becomes way more sharp; it reflects his bad mental health as well as his "villain arc". As if this change is not interesting enough in terms of shape and storytelling, @fraybury points out something very compelling: his design is also a reflection with his relationship with Kidou. From Kidou's perspective we sometimes see the shapes attributed to the old Sakuma, yet they quickly morph into the new's. They play arround with an unreliable narrator, which I find to be very, very cool.
2. Fubuki Shirou
The thing is, Fubuki's character leaves the artists a lot to play with. His fluent personality permits a very dynamic character design. On one hand, we have Shirou: softer, his hair pointing downwards, overall meeker. On the other, we have Atsuya: sharper, hair pointing upwards, stance way more confident. With some slight changes they are able to convey a completely different character, but they stay true to the original. Additionally, the orange of Atsuya's eyes transmits the audience a sense of assurance and conviction, while the grey is way more muted and dull. Even the shape of the eyes change! What else can we ask? It's genius!
1.Gouenji Shuuya
HEAR ME OUT, HEAR ME OUT. I know this choice is probably not the one you were expecting, but hold up, there's a reason. A couple of them, actually. First of all, I find his hair to be absolutely brilliant. It does two things: offers an incredibly distinct silhouette that stands out amongst everyone else as well as reflects Gouenji's motif: fire. It's subtle but undeniably effective. I also think his simplicity is great; the most recognizable characters are the one easier to remember. And, lastly, I consider him one of the most iconic if not the most iconic Inazuma Elevem character. The status grants him a deserved nº1, in my opinion. It's not as deep as Kidou or Sakuma's analysis, but less is more. Gouenji's design is very telling despite its austerity. Moreover, its intelligible and remarkable. And that's exactly what a good design is distinguished by.
Hope this was an interesting read. I had a fun time writing it, as I had been musing over this for a long time! Thank you for bearing with my endless wandering.
Bye 👋

Murase Ayumu = Iruma Kimura Ryouhei = Azz Ayaka Asai = Clara
Snippet 1:
Kimura: Clara thinks she's the heroine but it's actually Azz, my character.
Murase further adds: Ameri and Azz are the best heroines haha
Snippet 2:
Kimura: It's strange I originally auditioned for Asmodeus because I thought he was a handsome character.
Murase: He's handsome alright. A handsome heroine!
Snippet 3:
Interviewer: I hear that even in scenes where Clara doesn’t have any lines, if she’s on screen, you’ll ask, “Do we really not need Clara’s voice here?”
Asai: That’s right. Ever since the first series, there’s been this unspoken rule that if I’m on screen, I should speak. If I’m on screen but don’t speak, it just doesn’t feel right to me. However, in serious scenes, my more serious side comes out, and I find myself wondering, “Will this be distracting?” but then I have this internal struggle where I think, “No, Clara would definitely speak here.”
Snippet 4(Things to look out for in S4):
Kimura: What I find amazing about Iruma-kun is that it’s always entertaining. You could say it has a consistent sense of humor, but after actually holding the music festival, I felt like it had “awakened even further.” Even after running for this long, it continues to reveal new, awakened layers of humor. As for this season, I really want everyone to hear what the production team has to say. They’re putting so much passion into it, and they’re creating the show while constantly exploring new approaches to make it even more entertaining. Please look forward to it.
Asai: We’ve received so many messages from fans saying, “I’ve been looking forward to this,” and I’m thrilled to be able to deliver the fourth series. As Mr. Kimura said, the production team’s dedication is truly incredible. You can really feel the love coming through the visuals—it’s clear that “if you didn’t love ‘Iruma-kun,’ you couldn’t create something like this.” Above all, the stage performance that will cap off the music festival finale has turned out absolutely amazing, so I hope you’ll look forward to it.
Murase: As someone who has read the original manga, I’m incredibly excited that we’re finally holding the music festival in the fourth series after three years. Since this is the first time the entire “Problem Child (Abnormal)” class is finally gathered together, I think many of you have been eagerly awaiting this moment. It’s turned out so wonderfully that it feels like no time has passed at all—it’s full of energy—so I’d be thrilled if you’d tune in and enjoy it.
Magical Girl AU: Alice

BACKGROUND
Alice comes from a middle upper-class family as the second daughter. Ever since she was a child, Alice always saw things that everyone else couldn't see and did things that kids her age normally wouldn't think of doing, such as talking to animals and flowers, singing rather weird songs, and so on. While her mother always tried to hide this side of her youngest daughter, at least in the eyes of public society, her father always encouraged/supported this, even telling his youngest that he thinks about six impossible things before breakfast every day, which is something Alice began doing over the years.
When she was around 10 years old, while reading with her older sister, Alice thought to have seen a talking white rabbit with a pocket watch hurrying away from her. This lead her to a rabbit hole where she accidently fell into. This rabbit hole is what lead her to Wonderland, where the things that she once drew/talked about growing up were actually real.
As she was chasing the rabbit around Wonderland, she met and befriended several Wonderland residents until she met the Queen of Hearts, the monarch of all of Wonderland. After a short game of croquet, the two started talking for a bit, where the Queen of Hearts explained that the things that Alice has been seeing up until falling the rabbit hole are signs that she comes from a bloodline of a Wonderlandian Witch, a witch known for her craziness/supposed insanity. To help her maintain her sanity, the Queen of Hearts decided to teach Alice everything about Wonderland, from how to tame certain animals to all of the 810 rules. Alice was then able to from her home to Wonderland with no problem.
POWERS AND ABILITIES

GUARDIAN FAMILIAR
Teacup is the familiar connected to the Maiden of Curiosity. Teacup is a creature from Wonderland that Alice befriended and brought home with her. They look very similar to that a white rabbit/bunny.
Teacup, like most residents of Wonderland, is loud, eccentric, even called crazy mad and they're alright with that. They often talks in riddles that no one but the Maiden of Curiosity can understand. Teacup is loud, spontaneous, and is easily adaptable to any changes that are being made.

ps tech | cal & ayumu
for: @calvinfleischer location: E8, inner vievecor at the edge of dymock
Ayumu had been steadily making their way northwards of Vievecor City to get to P.S. Tech im Dymock. They were curious to see if Park Sung Joon was for real or not. The ancient spirit did not care much for a cure given that they were already dead, but there was surely some fun and chaos to be had now that more people were coming into the city to try to get to the place.
Their katana was swinging arcs through the air as Ayumu took down one zombie after another, the number of undead increasing the closer he got to that district and they wondered if it would be appropriate to become intangible yet. That was when their predatory eyes spotted a small flash of white in the distance -- a stoat.
An animal? And a small prey one to be exact. Ayumu started in the direction to follow. Most animals were hard to come by on the island these days and since they were still technically Ayumu's brethren (they saw all kinds of animals as kindred souls), a small part of them wanted to make sure that the little critter was alright. The other wanted to chase it!
They shifted into their fox form and followed the little stoat into an alley where the thing had cornered itself just in time for Ayumu to loom over it, asking it telepathically.
What's a tiny thing like you doing in a place like this?

merc: kimi
ferrari: ollie
alpine: jack (although i would much prefer victor)
red bull: liam if they can. otherwise isack
baby bull: isack if liam can. otherwise ayumu or arvid. ayumu has experience with higher powered cars so more likely him, but rb obviously rate arvid very highly too so you never know
aston: felipe or jak. probably felipe since he got here first
mclaren: pato or gabby borto. not gonna be ryo although it would have been hilarious af
sauber: theo or zane. could take gabby borto if mclaren takes pato
williams: franco if they can. otherwise a real toss up between zak and luke.
haas: no idea. chloe isn't ready and they should liquidate if they get pietro fitti back. another ferrari junior? dino doesn't seem likely. arthur makes no sense since he's moved away from single seaters but never underestimate nepotism...
