Not my local fiber arts community making a "collab" with chatGPT and then arguing with me that it's actually cool 🤪 such levels of hypocrisy and lack of common sense and basic tech education in creative people are hard to comprehend for me.

So many fiber artists I know say how they love being able to make clothes from natural yarns and how good it is for ecology and combining it with genAI usage that destroys our planet on a rapid pace is a whole new level of absurdity. You aren't truly appreciative of the act of creation and you aren't supportive of creative community if you use a tech that destroys livelihoods of many people - and at this point it's not limited to only creative professions, and it WILL affect more people.

But hey, it's so fun to ask artificial "intelligence" about unimportant shit! 🤩 It's totally worth it! And it feels so cool to live in the ignorance and delusion of treating this tech built upon stolen work like a sentient being!!

I'm really trying to be polite but if you use chatGPT you're dumb. There's no way around it lmao. But it's never too late to start using the brain as intended.
