Yes me suddenly posting this with no context and yes I have been going crazy over a new AU I made two days ago I am.very normal 😀

Basic somewhat idea around this being in the 30s, with detective and slight supernatural elements mixed in from many things I'm taking inspo from. (I thought of this after watching Spider-Noir, very good show)

Keith is a (secretly) half demon and human hybrid who's struggling in his mystery business before suddenly dabbling in the mystery fire that burned the Joey Drew Company years ago and somehow finding a living toon, Evelyn. They both team up to figure out what other mysteries the company was hiding while also figuring out other mysteries, Keith's hybrid origins, and what really happened to the company those years ago.

ARTISTS! Question for YOU!

What makes an OC design unique and/or liked?

I think for me is what kind of aspects they put into a design and how that correlates to their character.

Obviously I like to put characters into neat outfits for dress up, but I also think about how they relate to their personality and what it says to others who can tell of their personality from their clothing. This also adds into their design and how their form shows this (ie shape language and whatnot)

It's also just how they're explained and shown by their creators that creates interest to them but that's more of how to show off characters 😅

(in general, those are my own tips, but oc designs are your designs! Make whatever!!)
