until cat knows/likes you... she’s pretty harsh in her judgment internally.  she might not act on the internal judgment and might even address things the opposite of how she’s thinking, but she’s definitely thinking it.  for example.

scott ( @famebounded​ ) and laila ( from my multi @starsweepers​ ) are both famous, in h.ollywood, similar kind of people.  but cat doesn’t really meet laila until after she’s back on good terms with scott.  so the way cat regards scott versus laila is different just because she doesn’t know laila and puts her own judgments on the other.

scott does something nice for charity and cat sees him as kind and giving and genuine.  laila does it and cat might view her as doing it just for the good media or being fake even though laila is actually just as genuine and caring as scott.  cat might say something accusatory at laila about it or she might just go with it and act no different or act even thankful, just depends on her situation and the mood.

but that’s just an example because my brain is legit struggling to explain this all otherwise.  cat isn’t going to necessarily act off her judgments but the long story short is she is judging.  but she makes assumptions pretty quick mentally...

HOWEVER... it’s not rare for her to catch that she’s doing this and force herself to behave opposite to what she’s feeling because she doesn’t like making assumptions and judgments but.  it’s not always done.  she knows still that it’s a bad habit.

it’s pretty human to be judging, but cat has some strength in controlling how she acts upon this.  mainly stemming from her having to be in control of herself for years while under copper’s watch and torment.

this also isn’t limited to homeward bound verse, obvs, i just stole my example from that.

I’m finally sitting my butt down and forcing myself to write, after weeks of not being able to. I don’t think I can work on A Whole New World yet, but I’m going to try and get the next chapter of A Rogue’s Finesse done.
