Asher had always been the type to be playful and.. well… say whatever that was in his mind. So when Kiera insisted on him picking her up, she had it coming to hear those words from him.
“C’mon, the kid was crying. I had to take him in. I called his parents and they said they’ll be here in any minute. Just– just be patient, okay?”
The poor kid was still sniffling and Kiera had no choice but to console the little guy, crouching to have their eyes meet on a comfortable level. Her hand was rubbing up and down his uniform as his little hands wipe away the tears, the sight making her heart sink. “There there, we can play something while we’re waiting for your mommy and daddy, okay?” With an arm around the kid’s shoulder, she then turned his body around to have the little man facing Asher, her expression towards him almost growling.
“Me and Asher hyung will play with you, right?”
He was never really good at kids. The timing was just so perfect- cue in sarcasm. The moment that Asher decides to pick Kiera up from the kindergarten, there is a kid she has to look over till his parents arrive. Scratching the back of his head, he had no choice but to comply. Asher forced a smile and nodded a few times.
Asher always a had a hard time saying no to Kiera. Having that kid around, the more he couldn’t say no. What if he picked her up again and the kid saw him? He could be labelled as the “mean hyung” or something. He wouldn’t want that. Crouching next to Kiera, he put on a more sincere smile and nodded a few times, clearly struggling interacting with the kid. “Yeah- yeah we’re going to play. Um.. What do you wanna play?”
