I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier... but it fits pretty well. I suspected they would use Armand as a butcher to deal with all the regionals and disgruntled vampires, but I hadn't connected the dots with the "vampire slayer" comment, which had left me mystified.

only thing is that I don't think lestat truly believes Daniel is behind the killings, he probably has his suspicions.

anyway, I hope this ends up being true!
