In case you haven’t noticed I’m obsessed with amc iwtv
imagining my friends the vampires watching masterchef when apart from daniel none of them have tasted food for at least a century and in armand's case he was last a human being with a functional palate before the columbian exchange. this does not stop any of them from Backseat Cooking
So, work bestie finished IWTV, and he decided he's a Lestat stan. Which is to be expected, for him. But he hates my baby princess Armand. That's not okay.
We had some words, he decided he's willing to remain open to Armand redeeming himself, which is a fair middle ground, and he's planning his rewatch already.
I'm a bad influence and I regret nothing.
stop making two men of colour as simple one sided characters 2024, please. Armand isn't a twirling mustache abusive villain and Louis isn't just some helpless victim with no agency (or the other way around). They both have taken advantage of each other, they both have done bad things (and not only to each other), they are both product of their past, they both just want to pretend they are a happy couple, they both have decorated Dubai in their trauma theme. Recognize the complexity of the characters, they are written very well. The plot doesn't even make sense if they are as some people claim (quick example: if Armand had full control of their relationship and Louis was helpless, the interview would have never happened)
and I'm gonna say it, it's funny that most of the times when people have such views, also forgive and praise Lestat ("he loved Louis, so it's okay!") which is... you know, sus.
