Who Am I?

My name is Divasha. I just graduated with a BA in Urban Studies and minors in Creative Writing and LCJS (Law, Criminal Justice, and Society) from the University of Pittsburgh. I enjoy writing, reading, watching shows, listening to music, and hanging out with loved ones.

I thought I'd start this for fun. Maybe start posting more about writing on all my socials. I'm also on Instagram and Discord. I'm part of a wonderful writing community called Pathfinders Writing Collective, which I would highly recommend for other writers looking for a fun writing group!

My writing is all over the place as I have a gazillion projects going on at any given moment. But my favorite genres to write are urban fantasy, thriller (especially political and psychological thriller), romance, mystery, and horror. My writing does feature dark themes and all kinds of violence, and I will do my best to use trigger/content warnings.

Some of my favorite music artists are Ari Abdul, Charli xcx, Nessa Barrett, Ellise, PVRIS, Kehlani, Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, DeathbyRomy, Halsey, MARINA, MOTHICA, yeule, KiNG MALA, Olivia Rodrigo, Rina Sawayama, SOFIA ISELLA, and ALT BLK ERA. There is a very high chance I will talk about them a lot here.

Lastly, please be kind here. This is a fun experiment I'm doing, and I don't want it going up in flames. :)

seeing all the love for armand and assad zaman in the iwtv has helped me deconstruct some of the eurocentric beauty standards i internalized.

he has some desi features that i had wanted to change about myself.

i hated my nose as a teenager i considered getting a rhinoplasty in the future i’d try to contour it to look more up turned.

i wanted my face to be rounder or heart shaped

i didn’t like the way my eyes were almond shaped and downturned

i hated my dark wavy hair, though i didn’t realize it was wavy at the time i thought it was just hard to manage and i wished it was straight and not a boring color like brown

every time someone finds assad or armand beautiful because of these features i feel less inclined to believe i should change them

Random Whump Idea

Caretaker and Whumper are good friends, and Caretaker is completely unaware of what Whumper gets up to in their spare time. One day, Whumper asks Caretaker to house-sit for them while they go on vacation/business trip/family emergency/etc. Caretaker's duties are simple, just to look after the house while Whumper is gone. But Caretaker is not to go inside the basement. When asked, Whumper gives a "normal" explanation (ex. there's mold in there, doing renovations). Whumper had previously stocked Whumpee's cell with food and water for Whumpee to ration and promised them if they behaved themselves, Whumper would reward Whumpee (and punish them if they disobeyed ofc). Anyway, things seem pretty normal at first, but after a while, Caretaker becomes curious about the basement. They also notice other things that don't really add up, such as evidence Whumper might be involved in illegal activity. Finally, they can't take it anymore and check the basement, where they find Whumpee, chained up and not in the best state. How does Caretaker respond to this? Do they take Whumpee to the hospital? Do they go to the police? Do they convince themselves Whumper has a good reason for this, or do they realize that Whumper isn't the wonderful person they thought they were?

Post whump Whumpee runs a whump blog. They use their experiences as prompts and use their feelings for description. Due to that incredibly detailed and accurate writing, their blog is very well known. If anyone ever asks them how they’re so good at writing whump they just say they study things related to it.

Despite all their popularity they never write anything about recovery or caretakers. They don’t know how to describe it because they never had a caretaker. They managed to make it out of whumper’s clutches but they never made it out of the clutches of loneliness.

K but imagine fanfic writer whumpee getting a lot more attention on their fics/posts after being rescued and 90% of the comments are just asking them invasive questions about what they suffered that are annoying at best and border on stalky-creepy at worst

and ofc using their whump as "inspiration" for torturing their characters
