Episode Four: The Missing Cargo

Tonight's adventure takes our hero to Harumi-Cho, the capital's biggest port. There's no shortage of seawater, or of scuttlebutt!

Facing tough new enemies, Raidou faces down this new part of town and digs down to find the dirt on Honnou-ya's missing shipments.

A hubbub is brewing between merchants in this bustling seaport. Up until six months ago, it seems, everyone was chummy... but now, the foreign traders and domestics are in dispute.

Turns out, the owner of Ryugu restaurant (y'know, the employer of the rickshaw driver we beat sense into in episode two?) is also the estranged daughter of Harada & Co, the import business smack-dab in the middle of all this fuss!

Six months ago, her father, the owner, died at sea. Since then, strange goings-on have plagued the company nearly to the point of collapse.

Harada's story lines up with what the old man from Konnou-ya gave to Narumi when they took the case. Not only have goods vanished into thin air, but navy soldiers hired as guards, too! Could this be the work of demons...?

Returning to home base, Raidou mulls over these developments with Narumi. While it seems like they have a lead on the cargo, their search for Rasputin seems to be turning up nil on both fronts. So, it's a trip to the bathhouse again.

The Yakuza boss who took a fancy to Raidou is the guy to ask, it seems. While he doesn't know Rasputin (ras-who-tin?) he DOES dish out a tasty lead... When he was alive, ol' Mr. Harada worked with a foreigner named "Elfman". If anyone smuggled a deranged Russian monk into the country, seems like it's this guy.

And on top of that, after Harada's death, Elfman turned coat and took over operations in Harumi-cho, forcing the locals out of business and causing the current kerfuffle.

Who is this Elfman? Are we talkin' Danny or Keebler? How does he relate to the Kaya case? And what's the Japanese Navy's role in all this?!
