Helga wasn't afraid. Alright, she was a little, but there was something about the way that Salazar was looking at her made her nod. She was dirtied, bloodied, and bruised, and her hair had fallen from its braid. She reached for his hand, pulling herself up and into his arms. She knew that he would come from her. She had seen it but she hadn't known when and she was thankful that he was there now and that the ones who had taken her were dead.

They may have hated witches but they sure loved to use magic against them. She finally felt her power come back to her and she let herself lean into his hold.

"Thank you, Salazar..." Helga whispered as she rested her forehead against his shoulder, she was so exhausted but he was there and that was all the strength she needed.

"Even if that death seems inevitable?" Helga asked as she looked over at the male beside her. They were standing one of the balconies of Hogwarts, the witch had on a cloak that Salazar had made for her and had given to her at the Winter Solstice. It was her favorite cloak if she was being honest with herself.

"I doubt that there is anything that could stop true love, Salazar." Helga smiled slightly as she took in his handsome face and she placed her hand on top of his.

"It will always find a way at least that's what I've been told but I believe that it's true, don't ya?"

The brunette was busy grading her assignments when her husband walked into her office. While they were married, they did have separate offices in the castle but they shared a living quarters where his Slytherin House was located. She looked up when he spoke, Salazar having been quietly looking over his own papers when he'd broken the silence.

"What brought this on?" She asked, light blue eyes watching him curiously as she tired to figure out what he meant and what had brought it on. "Salazar, we've been married for two years now, I feel like that means ye are very worthy of my love." The Scottish witch said with a frown as she sat her papers down and moved to sit in his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him sweetly and full of love.

"Tell me what's going on, Sal." Helga asked softly, fingers slipping through his hair. "Talk to me."

"I think I gathered that when ye told me that ye would marry me, Salazar." Helga grinned at him, looking up at him with loving blue eyes. She loved the man, she did. She loved the wizard far more than she had ever loved anyone else and she didn't wish to be with anyone else. But she also knew that there would never be another.

"I do hope ye mean that. I'd rather ye not let me slip away, Salazar Slytherin."

Helga blushed faintly before the witch grinned as she looked the goddess over. She hadn't expected Loki to follow her to the Black Lake but she had. "I take it that you're going to be joining me for a swim then?"

Helga sighed, sipping her tea as she flipped the page of her spell book. She figured Loki had gotten themselves into trouble and she’d hear about it later. For now, she’d let them deal with whatever they had done.

"Oh, and that makes me feel so much better." Helga snapped, worry in her tone and eyes as she moved towards him. "Salazar, they'll kill ya if they know you're here." Though the witch had a feeling that the captors were already dead. She let her hands move over him, checking for wounds as her eyes filled with tears.

"Salazar.... Ya came for me."
