The concept of kyle being oddly obsessed with prices kid....

He convinces himself it's because he likes you, that his horrible obsession is just messy love. Kyle notices the similar behaviors between you and price because he's a good boyfriend who pays attention to you, that's all.

Not because he's desperately looking for his captain in everything you do. Though you don't look like price, the way you speak, the way you move is so alike. When kyle fucks you, head tucked into your shoulder, he doesn't wonder if fucking price would be the same. He doesn't imagine the familiar smell of price or his voice, not at all.

Because kyle can't love his captain. He can't have anything more than a professional relationship, so he goes for the next best thing. At least it gets him closer to the person he really wants, 'family' dinners and holidays spent together.

He loves you, he really does, he just...loves price more.
