Regarding Imago's power to steal more abstract things (like someone's presence in the latest comic updates), would holders of their miraculous also be able to do so, or is it reserved for deities? Similarly, could Plagg or a black cat holder "destroy someone's presence"?
mhm, but only if he was untethered, aka without a miraculous. such abstract "breaking" of reality is something you can only really do if you're not reigned in and can be loosygoosy with mortals. even if he was to try that without having someone use his miraculous, he wouldn't be able to manage it, because he's seeing things through a "mortal" perspective.
we've gotten other's POV of what Imago looks like, but to Imago, what do mortals look like? How does a god perceive of humans? do you think ants are cute when they stop to groom their antennae, or do you crush them for being in your kitchen? do you think about if the two flies in your kitchen like jazz? to be able to interface with a mortal takes a huge deal of focus and empathy, something many gods don't possess. there's a whole plethora of "gods," "dieties," "high-beings," etc etc. who have no interest in mortals nor to see from their perspective.
to WANT to see from that perspective is a blessing, and a noose. You lose the ability to see an ant as an insect and instead know this creature for its name, for its loves, for its hatreds, for what food it likes and what noises are pleasant for it. in having a miraculous made, a god will sacrifice their ability to "think outside the box" as it were and execute those tasks specifically to understand the world from a mortal perspective.
its a gift, and a curse. would you give up your ability to read a book to see the ocean as whales do? shit like that.
tl:dr - yes, Plagg could, if his miraculous was entirely destroyed and he reverted back to being an untethered god with no desire to return to a kwami state.
