Really stupid Murder Drones AU idea; what if you accidentally slice a Disassembly drone in a big enough chunk that when it regenerates, it does so for both sliced portions?
Ignoring the concept of drones having cores that essentially store most of it not all of their Operating Systems in, I like to imagine that Disassembly drones are like starfish, and therefore can regenerate body parts from just about any big enough chunk of them lying around.
So when N got his head cut off (like twice I think?) in the series, he essentially regenerated from both his head and chassis, making two identical N drones because it was an even split; thus he retained the same amount of stored data in both halves. (Downside is that he needs to immediately consume oil because he used what he had inside him to regenerate his other half).
Idk, I just think it’d be funny to have two Ns running about and it pissing off J and confusing the hell out Uzi. V’s pretty used to it, as it’s not the first time its occurred with them, and J usually just kills the least performing half of the two. (That sounded less morbid in my head ;w;”)
Also they’re both N, and had both components of his body been stuck back together quickly enough before the nanites regenerated him, he’d be only one N. But now there’s at least 2-3 Ns running around and it makes Uzi aggravated because none of them refuse to be referred to as anything but N, and now she has no idea which N she told what like a warped game of telephone.
I’m lovingly calling this silly idea the Starfish Au for obvs reasons.
