puppy dennis who grew up in a farm and is used to sleeping anywhere, just falling asleep as soon as his farm tasks exhaust him.

puppy dennis who doesn't have trouble sleeping in busy shelters or park benches or cold abandoned hospital rooms. he has just as many, if not more work than what he had at the farm, so he needs the sleep just as much.

puppy dennis who falls asleep regularly at trinity's kitchen table, on her couch, on her room's rug one notable occasion because they were talking and she hadn't allowed him on the bed, thinking he'd just stand there, but instead he happily laid down and then promptly fell asleep.

trinity who doesn't have the heart to let him sleep just anywhere so she ends up half carrying him to bed pretty much every night.

puppy dennis who now regularly sleeps on his attendings sofa, their bed, the armchair in their study, the plush seating in their breakfast nook, even the outdoor couch on their terrace when it's nice out. and not only because he falls asleep in all of those places, but also because his attendings boyfriends are so enamored with seeing their puppy sound asleep.

they're so endeared by his little sleepy sounds and so warmed by the knowledge that he trusts them and that they're keeping him relaxed and safe; that when he falls asleep before their day is over and they don't want to be away from him, but they don't want to wake him either, they'll just gather the puppy up in strong arms and carry him to another of his little nap spots. whatever's closer to them so they can keep looking at/hearing him.

jack and robby who buy warm fluffy blankets and soft squishy cushions that they place on every one of their pup's spots, making sure he has all he needs to be as comfortable and as happy as they are, having the sleeping puppy close to them.

puppy dennis who now has stable, comfy places to sleep at (so many to choose from!) and is always hugging his blankies or his cushions, snuggling them and happily relaxing into sleep, happy in the knowledge that his owners love him and are always around him.

Oh boy. a project like this was gonna take a long time already because of the scope and sheer number of people, but add in a bunch of technicalities + extra work in the end + the few extra pages i had to draw + finals week and... yeah. 8 months later. its funny bc this was supposed to be to celebrate hitting 25k, and im at 27.7k now 😭

BUT IT'S FINISHED! i'm so proud and so in awe of all the talent that exists in this fandom. i have definitely learned a lot from managing a project like this. I would love to do it again in the future (but maybe on a smaller scale, LOL).

special shoutout to @buf309 for all that legwork you put in the end with SIX PAGES, that also managed to bring the story together. I honestly did not know how the heck you would bring it all together, but you knocked it out of the park.
