FORBIDDEN AFFAIR — muse a and muse b shouldn't be together. maybe they're tied to people in the same social circle, or one is in a position of authority. they've sworn this would never happen, but here they are, sneaking glances at the bar, brushing hands in elevators, making excuses to slip away when no one's paying attention. COLLEGE TENSION — two students thrown together by circumstance - roommates. lab partners. the unlucky duo stuck running a student event. muse a resents muse b's arrogance, muse b can't stand muse a's laid-back attitude, but the sparks of animosity blur into something else after too many sleepless nights spent side by side. WALLS TOO THIN — muse a and muse b live on the same floor of an apartment complex. at first it's mutual annoyance, hearing each other's arguments and hookups... but slowly, the constant presence breeds familiarity. when one of them goes through something messy, the other is the only one close enough to notice. mad. muse a and muse b spent their highschool / college years hating each other - not really knowing why. they meet again some years later and muse a ends up confessing that they had a crush on muse b the whole time but didn't know how to deal with it. muse b admits to the same thing. now that the energy has shifted into attraction, they ask themselves - did they waste all this time being mad?

sometimes/why is she still here? a messy situationship vibe. muse a and muse b have been having a thing for years, started as a hook-up but caught feelings along the way. muse a is with someone else and yet keeps stringing muse b along, not really theirs, but not leaving them find someone else. muse b is growing tired of only having them sometimes, and wonders why they're still here.

i can't have you around me anymore. muse a is muse b's ex - and best friend. they've stayed close, probably closer than they should be - too close for muse b's girlfriend's comfort. they hang out in secret places, end up naked, nothing ever happens but they're always a little too close in pictures. when muse b's girlfriend asks them to choose, they decide they can't have muse a around anymore - but can't stop wondering if they should be with them instead.

i like you better when you're gone. muse a and muse b have had a good thing going on for years, but muse a had to move across the country for work and now they only see each other a few times a month. when they're together it feels like before - almost. but slowly, muse a starts feeling that they like muse b better when they're gone - and wonders if they're just idealizing something that is over.

+ (a fun one, to balance out the angst) good girl/shy. muse a has always been a good girl, never drinking or sleeping around. but then muse b showed up and took them dancing 'til the sun came up and they ended up falling in bed together. muse a has always been shy but now she's discovered what being bad feels like and begs muse b to ruin her life, making everyone in her life worried about her.
