Reading Wild Space for the first time and,
this scene just made me laugh because Bail is awkwardly trying to joke with the chancellor of the republic and Palpatine’s probably fondly thinking about that time he killed two people with his speeder as a kid.
Just started listening to the Thrawn (2017) audiobook and tell me why I forgot that in Chapter 1, it’s described that Lysatrans perceive the Chiss as fierce, clever, and seasoned warriors of Wildspace myths and legends. This is mentioned several times by Eli himself, as well as the fact that nobody has seen a Chiss in forever.
Eli then goes on the describe Thrawn as “regal” when he is first presented by stormtroopers to the captain of the star destroyer. And Eli describes Thrawn’s hair not just as black but long and blueish-black.
So I will be interpreting all this to mean that Thrawn is like Eli’s prince out of an old fairytale come to life
