Nice to see Republicans comprehensively eat shit tonight, but Jesus Christ almighty why couldn't you dumb motherfuckers (the American voting public) remember this a year ago.
I finally did it… I watched Heated Rivalry. And it’s NOTHING like I expected.
Honestly, I don’t know what I expected but it wasn’t one of the best, most slow burn, and well rounded love stories I’ve ever seen on screen. And it’s all told with so much care and love that I want to kill myself because I’m so fucking overwhelmed.
The music the used throughout the fucking show?!? OH MY GAWD. The delicacy of everything that goes on between Shane and Ilya (of course, while they indelicately ram each other) is INSANE!! Also, they’re both sooo suicidal in such different ways because Shane wants to just die because of his repressed everything and Ilya wants to kill everyone else and then himself because of his repressed everything.
And of course, beyond the story and the writing and the cinematography and the direction, Connor and Hudson have to be commended for completely giving in to their characters. It’s only because they love Ilya and Shane that it gives us the chance to fully fall in love with them as well.
AAAARGHHHHHHHHHH IM JUST SO OVERWHELMED!!!! IM GOING TO GO WATCH THE SHOW AGAIN AND JUST CRY THROUGH THE WHOLE THING THIS TIME AROUND BECAUSE THEY MY BABIES AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AND THEY NEED TO BE HAPPY FOREVER AND I’D BURN THE WORLD DOWN FOR THEM!!!!!!
period.
The more I think about both Tkachuks being included on the US Olympic roster while players like Jason Robertson and Cole Caufield didn't make the cut, the crazier I feel.
I keep thinking about the Oakland A's and Billy Beane. When Beane decided to essentially revolutionize baseball by constructing a team based on stats instead of eyeball assessments from scouts, he got a lot of pushback. Old school baseball guys lost their minds if he signed a guy who didn't 'look' like the 'right' kind of athlete.
When his scouts tried to tell him that the player he wanted to draft was too fat, Beane kept saying, "We're not selling jeans here," which has become a kind of shorthand for saying to look at what the numbers are telling you, not what you feel should be right. Reducing the impact of the eyeball test also, incidentally, can reduce the impact of bias (conscious or unconscious).*
Bill Guerin and US Hockey have an old baseball scout problem.
au(?) where mira has to get adult braces and everyone finds out. mira is super embarrassed because “ugh now everyone’s gonna think im a dork 😣”
meanwhile an asshole interviewer asks rumi and zoey how they feel about mira with braces and rumis like “??? um. idk. i love her?”. the interviewer asks “the braces dont change your opinion of her at all?” and rumi is super confused and mildly offended. “no? why would they change my opinion of her?”
zoey gets really close to the mic when asked and goes “WOULD. VERY MUCH STILL WOULD.”
Always make sure you properly mount your PC
Might make this as an actual body pillow design hmmm
Oh I WONDER....
.... who COULD BE his star crossed lover.
Definitely not someone as stupid as the biggest clown in this show, right?
I really do wonder.
Damn, what a bad AIRCON.
