Though Tink was her favorite fairy and a role-model on many fronts for the ever-eccentric pixie dust alchemist, on this occasion Zarina didn’t appreciate her latest out-of-the-box idea...Bringing the man who had once tried to murder her into Pixie Hollow seemed like just a teeny bit of a bad idea to her.
“This can’t be right,” she said, waving a hand up and down at the pirate captain, whose appearance had unsettled her the moment she saw him. When she recognized him, despite the age and the hair, her heart sank into her stomach.

The adrenaline that came with leaving behind the life she knew carried Zarina over the sea. When it wore out she was left wondering if... she should have stayed; the mainland was close; she could make it the rest of the way; she had time to turn back. Then she caught the first glimpse of her saving grace: a ship, adrift in the endless sea, in just the right spot, at just the right time for her to find it. Fate. Closer inspection revealed men aboard. One seemed younger: gangly, unsure -- yet curious and hungry...
A little something like herself.

“I’d like to pay my respects to the boy who fed James Hook’s hand to the crocodile.” She spoke loudly into the forest, waiting for the response of a freckle-faced spitfire Tinker Bell had told her about. It had been years since the alchemist had put her temporary life of piracy behind her, but once her friend returned from Peter Pan’s company with tales of a hook-wielding captain and the brave boy who’d done it to him, Zarina wanted to meet him for herself.
With the instructions on how to find the hideout of the Lost Boys from Tink, she was certain she was in the right place and needed only wait for some leaf or bear-skin clad kids to melt out of the forest.

“Periwinkle! I’ve been looking for you.” Zarina, resident pixie dust alchemist of Pixie Hollow, was on a mission and couldn’t be stopped until she met her target--not even to have her wings frosted at the border. She was at least keen enough to keep them under a coat, well-accustomed to the un-fairy-like method of transportation known as walking anyway.
