He smiled and let his eyes close, rocking side to side at the sound.

Thankfully, it was soothing, and the girl who’s head was currently in his lap as he pet her hair, stayed fully asleep.

Screams it over the intercom.

Cheers him on over the intercom.

Comes on over the Helios intercom.

Okay, yeah, he didn’t like this, not at all-- the rising sense of panic the longer the two of them were staring each other down like this.

He wouldn’t get down there in time to stop them from fighting if they decided to, but he could...

He called down the jack, the one that allowed him instant access to everything in Helios.

His face would appear on all screens near them, his expression carefully a smile, but the near panic clear in his eyes.

“Now, now, sweethearts, don’t fight now-- wouldn’t want either of your pretty faces gettin’ hurt. Why don’t you come up to my office and we can talk this all out, or somethin’, huh? Maybe have a drink? Please?”
