are keysmashes cringey? mayhaps. But I feel like fandom at large seems to have lost some measure of joy what with all of the discourse cycles and rising waves of purity wank and antis and fanpols. And like, the keysmash is rooted firmly in fandom history, is it not? What is a keysmash but a squee for a modern, more technologically-raised userbase? Keysmashes are also by nature friendlier than the I HATE U SO MUCH HOW COULD YOU that was considered a fandom love language - and which is and can still be used, but I think it's much less prevalent now, and definitely much easier to be interpreted straight, vs as a co-sympathy of feeling. Anyway YES I have picked up a keysmash habit, and YES it comes directly from interacting with the Youthe, whose slang I find somewhat opaque and inscrutable in places, but actually the like.. paths of linguistic evolution - including of online habits and norms and how they adapt and evolve in different platforms as a function of the environment, is very fascinating. It reminds me of those old posts you'd see talking abt communication differences between like boomers and millennials, like the thank you example one, of how boomers see your welcome as the more polite but milennials see it as saying "of course you should be thankful I did you such a FAVOR", while millennials tend to so "no problem"/no probs/np, bc that's like a "of course I should have helped, it was no problem for me to help," but older ppl see it as dismissing the thanks. segues lowkey into thinking abt naming of ship names and trends - which I rly hope someone has or will do an analysis and see if there are shifting prevalent patterns, or if it's more fandom-dependent than that - but like I think a lot of like newer fans seem to prefer deancas vs destiel? and I think "destiel" itself has become kind of a charged term, a more.. political term, if you will. Which kind of reminds me of some of the bi vs pan debates, tho I think those are also a separate deal and not a perfect 1 for 1 analogy.

Anyway language is fascinating and the intersections of language with culture and subculture and community and changing trends is just endless case studies to delve

hello my loves !! you probably noticed already the low activity on this blog this past month, that would be because i’ve had one busy month.. and i’m writing this post to let you all know this trend is going to be keep going for a while. this is not a i’m not gonna be here at all notice but it is a well resources might take a long time notice. i’m going to be moving to a new country by my lonesome and i’ll need some time to find a new routine and find my balance and idk how this will take or how long i’m gonna be just wondering.

also this is not a i’m stopping all resources i’m simply saying i have no idea when muse will strike, it might come tomorrow as it might come in a few months. but i love you all and i’d never want to disappoint you, i just need some time to figure out my life !! this is rambly and i apologize but i hope i got my point across, i’d be mostly likely mainly in here on mobile so most of my posts would be musings related and i might take some time to get to asks but otherwise i’m here and i love you ok bye.

It's really fucked up that Poppy only genuinely smiled 3 times the whole episode (when they were talking to the purple corn hoping to get answers, when they where with Tappy, and when they won immunity on the prise wheel) Like it only took 4 days with these traumatised object's relentless mistrust for this character full of joy and wonder to turn miserable. Poppy's spirit is getting crushed in real time and it's so agonizing to watch.

At first this seems like a depressing statement, that Bot thinks they aren't worth being taken care of even when they have a giant gash in their head

Then this makes it more clear that they are the only sane person here and just feels like one of the very few people taking the "limited resource" thing seriously so they have to save what they can bc no one else will. You ALL used to LIVE outside ACT LIKE IT!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE COLD ONCE THEY STARTED MOVING FOR THE GAME!!! AAAAAAAAAGGG
