HE STARTS OUT NODDING, but as soon as he attempts to take a step, his injured leg gives out and he staggers with a hiss of pain, latching on to Padmé for support. Eyes shut tightly, he tries to catch his breath, focusing on doing his best to ignore the searing pain. “ no... i... i guess i can’t... ow... ” he pants, shivering and taking his weight off the injured leg. “ i... i’ll be okay though... just give me a minute. ”

HE STILL ATTEMPTS TO RISE. But stops himself when the muddled words finally reach him, and lets himself fall back. It’s almost impossible to figure out what’s going on. His vision is blurry, and the sounds filter in slowly, like he’s hearing them through water. It’s even difficult to focus on the Force right now. It’s there, but he can’t focus. And he can usually focus pretty well. That’s concerning. “ what-- what happened? ” He groans, words slurring together a little as he reaches up to touch the throbbing back of his head. His hand comes back warm and sticky. Blood. 

He must have been hit pretty badly. He can’t even remember how he got here-- or where he is.

IT’S BEEN AWHILE SINCE HE’S BEEN ILL. It had been somewhat frequent while he was a padawan, but he hasn’t gotten anything more than a headache and some congestion for a few years now. So when he recognises the tell-tale signs of a fever-- flushed cheeks, the light around him brighter and more painful than usual, inexplicable aches throughout his body, and a pervasive shiver-- he tried to convince himself it was nothing for as long as he could-- until he ended up slumped over, coughing his lungs out, legs shaking and barely able to hold himself up. After that, he bundled himself up in his robes and blankets and swiftly became a rather sad-looking lump on the sleep couch.
