enstars twitter cares too much about the game plot i think. that never mattered to me what i’m invested in is the character development and i can ignore anything i want for those purposes. “tetora went undercover in an evil idol organization and witnessed a murder” no he didn’t. that entire event was fabricated to make chiaki and tetora finally confront each other and resolve their post-comet show issues. not like the writing actually takes tetora’s potential trauma into account at all

#i wouldn’t do this for literally any other piece of media #but enstars is designed around the characters way more than it is plot #even the gameplay is never to complete a story it’s just acquiring cards #it definitely makes the !! era story less compelling than say war era #but for my purposes (thinking about the characters and constructing scenarios for them) it works out. i’m satisfied #and thus i will never care about akita’s batshit wild plot choices beyond ‘oh what the hell lol’#*akira
