ill be real with you guys most people in fact are not horny lunatics who are chomping at the bit to sexualize every little thing, and furthermore "op is just horny" is more than just an unfunny joke, it's you forcing a perspective that prevents you from thinking about why someone might say something or why a certain idea might make sense to them... not that it's all that big a deal if the perspective you're preventing yourself from considering for the sake of a stupid joke is "this character doesn't like humans so maybe they should look like an anime girl, that would be cool" but like, you form habits based around your preconceived notions and as a result you won't be able to learn new things or appreciate new perspectives

Sometimes you dedicate time and thinking to write a big-ass meta. You use your knowledge and double-check things and analyze stuff and find screenshots and spell-check your writing twice before posting it because English is not your first language. You think it’s unique because you’ve never seen something like this being discussed in the years you’ve been in the fandom.

It hardly gets 15 notes.

And then you see a post from a Native English speaker, which mentions the fucking obvious, sometimes without even coherence, just them flailing around, and it has 500+ notes.

And it feels a little like this.

Okay I’m officially going to bed now. And yeah tomorrow is the start of Nanowrimo so we’ll see how much that affects my activity. Because I’ve been so active lately. Meh. xD
