if there’s one thing joohyun just loves about christmas time, it’s that time of year when she gets to act cute on stage while wearing a feminine, ultra cute dress while doing so-- not. in fact, it leaves a sour taste in the trainee’s mouth that not even mint bubblegum can cure as she angrily chews a piece after their latest rehearsal. ‘smile like this!’ ‘act cute like that!’ joohyun’s ears are practically burning with the echoes of the coach’s annoying instructions. what was it about christmas that brought out the ‘adorable’ in everyone that’s invisible the rest of the year? a break in between choreography rehearsals (also the worst!) has joohyun moodily finding a spot to sit down at beside one of the studio’s large mirrors. she brings her knees up to her chest and hugs them, a grumpy expression revealing every bit of her grinch-like feelings.

and truthfully, the rehearsals weren’t the only reason for her bad mood. joohyun was jealous. bitter, really, that she hadn’t been chosen for a special stage this year. it always seemed like singers got the better end of the deal when it came to these things, and how crappy that makes her feel who couldn’t possibly have a chance if that was the criteria. no, she didn’t envy them having to do another cutesy stage she would’ve also had to do, but it doesn’t stop her irritation as she glares unwittingly across the studio room at the other trainees. christmas sucked.
