We took my wife to the ER in December. We paid the physician about $600 and the radiology department about $1670. In March we got a third bill from the hospital for about $1750. All three combined is a bit more than my month's salary. Our medical system is so fucked up.

Adjacent to this is that teacher salary is also fucked up. What I do for a grade level of children in a month has got to be worth more than us sitting in a hospital waiting room for hours and getting about 30 minutes of medical attention, if that.
