Modern AH has the same kinda vibe I get from Drawfee. A group of friends hanging out, joking and doin bits. With the knowledge that the entire group is ready to goon squad one of the members if they do something dumb, (or just cause, in the case of Drawfee crew refusing to let Jacob do a clean intro)
Old AH had a similar feel, but the main difference is that current AH knows the line between ribbing and bullying. A lot of the time older AH content felt like it crossed that line and became hostile.
A perfect recent example is the "Gum Steak". Every one is rightfully giving Gavin shit for that bizarre line of thought, but it never veers into being antagonistic or mean.
