at this point I’m just saying words recreationally but it’s kinda funny to me how, despite how much influence I get from elsewhere when finding evidence to support my interpretations of characters and relationships and narratives, and despite how strongly I believe in stuff like the rpf cleavage, the general overall default version of someone (the real* one) as an entity and the life series version of someone as a character are so distinct in my mind. cross-smp character analysis is fun and I do it all the time but when it comes to writing I actually tend to stay pretty tightly within the constraints afforded by canon alone. occasional fourth wall-nudging references are fine but actual dialogue and description and characterisation and such are all going to be supported by moments from canon. realistically though this is probably just a coping mechanism to facilitate scott having any character growth whatsoever regarding how he treats jimmy
