We've done an indeph explanation here but to summarise:

It's a reading on what your canon was like (although it could be about anything really) told through music. For example if I wanted to know about my love life as [kin] and I recieved The Garden of Glass then that would imply that I had a forbidden love.

Most people shuffle one song and analyse that but we tend to shuffle three times because that (imo) can give a better reading because if one of the songs 'contradicts' the others then it's easier to rule out a 'bad reading'.
