unpopular opinion: there is absolutely zero (0) indication that i can see that joe had to be the person taylor was playing at scrabble. idk who it was, it could be joe. but it doesn't HAVE to be... and i think it's fucking weird, annoying, and sraight that everyone insists on it like it's confirmed fact or substantiated in some way other than he/him pronouns.

Patrick already knew this was going to be a nightmare. Not so much the first couple of hours as he knew that Aspen was going to let him stay long enough for them to fuck. But then she’d be pushing him to the door again like she did any other night he dropped by. As much as he was beginning to like her as a person, there was only so much abuse he could take before he had to admit it was a lost cause. His fist rose to knock on the flimsy wood of her door and wait for her to answer.
