europeans are so damn dramatic about tourists. so many US cities are swarmed in tourist and they never complain like europeans 😭 like new yorkers get annoyed at tourists blocking sidewalks constantly and not knowing etiquette but you don’t see them getting water guns out lol

on the one hand, I want the police to be figures of safety and calm for my little brother. I want to tell him that they should be the first people he goes to if he gets hurt or is scared, and I want to tell him that they'll protect him. On the other hand, I've seen firsthand how the emergency services treat disabled people. I've read the news stories. I don't know if I want him ever talking to them, just on the off chance that they decide to beat him or scare him or throw him into an overnight cell.
