Literally yours and TT's relationship is seriously goals and despite my massive crushes on the both of you and envy that I'll probably never have something so pure and true and wonderful, seeing all the cute stuff the both of you post makes my day. I love seeing long distance working so beautifully.

((OOC: Thank you, that’s sweet of you! I do hope though, that TT’s post yesterday/today has shown you that things are never ‘pure and true and wonderful’, and that if you want a relationship to be successful, you have to work at it. Don’t listen to rom-coms and bullshit in TV shows, because real life just isn’t so rose-tinted. Don’t be envious, especially of people whose lives you don’t see “offstage”. Everyone has their baggage and issues and strengths and weaknesses.

That being said. A few people have made small comments that I’m sure are jokes, but I want to be very clear that although it took a while before TT and I became official, it doesn’t mean they’ve put me through anything upsetting or hurtful.

TT is wonderful, and our open communication has meant that our relationship is always an honest conversation, and we listen to each other and understand each other. Regardless of what our relationship status was, TT always showed me how they felt, and made me feel secure and happy in all the ways that matter.

They are such a good person, and their indecision over our relationship probably affected them more than me *weeps*. So yeah, I’ve not been suffering like a tragic heroine, as much as I do love drama. TT is sweet and funny and loving, as well as being crazy and a little shit, and I’m so goddamned grateful.The person you should really feel bad for….is JESSIE. For dealing with both of our shit. XD))

he’d spent a lot of his life just running. the one time he hadn’t he’d been proved to regret it. ren had developed a kind of numbness to new places, new languages, new culture. it was hard to become attached with the idea when he’d just need to move very soon anyway. his family needed to stop promising to make an actual home of where they were right this second.

it had been a few years since he’d lived in a country where he was unfamiliar with the language. it was his father’s tongue, and so he could understand most of what was said to him, write japanese exceptionally, but had trouble communicating himself. it wasn’t saying much, considering how reluctantly he spoke any other time.

the only route to his apartment he’d successfully managed to memorise curled around the back of his campus, allowing him to pass a dying garden on the way out from school. he’d taken note of it many times after the first, where he’d looked down from map instructions on his phone. he’d even made a clumsy inquiry about them to a member of staff, who said that the custodian in charge of the grounds had been sick for some time, and the replacements had other parts of the campus to take care of. it had piqued his interest, having never worked with some of the flowers there.

ren dropped his pack onto the ground, pressing his hands onto the packed soil. the slow transfer of magic felt like decompressing, like he was letting all the air out of his lungs. his gaze was fixated on the flowers, soil darkening, watching the greenery rise and petals bloom with colour. when he was finished he dusted off his hands, picking up his backpack just in time to see he’d actually had an audience, eyes widening in panic. @fragilefated
