Do you think standing/running long jump can be considered practice for le parkour?

Yes.  It's actually considered, by me and probably most traceurs, as a basic and fundamental skill.  Though for it to be effective, practising far jumps should be trained side-by-side with jumping and landing with control.

It's fine if you can jump far, but even better if you can do it safely! :D
