Rotex at the Great Expectations II Conference! (District 6330)
Amazing group of people. It was a great weekend! :)
Great Expectations Conference!
I got invited this time around, to help with the new Outbounds get ready for an amazing exchange year! May 24-26. I am excited!
What a bummer... :(
After all that work to get the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of March off, I am not even getting to go to the Great Expectations (#1) Conference... (It's the first conference of three to get the new Outbounds ready for exchange in my district, District 6330) I was really looking forward to it and would have been a great way to end my "reading week"... Oh well, maybe next time...
P.S. On the bright side, at least I can go to the other gym on that Sunday! :P
P.S.S. I am still extremely disappointed...
That was an awesome disappointing day! :P
As noted before, it was the final interviews for prospective Outbounds! I actually had so much fun. Not just because I got to hangout with some awesome friends, but also because I got to talk about exchange! I guess, having people listen to my views and opinions, really make me happy! There were some awesome "kids" there, and I honestly enjoyed just talking to them. Usually, going up to strangers and starting conversations is one of my weak skills, but I realized that because I was talking about something I am moderately passionate about, I didn't have a problem at all! :)
One prospective Outbound's family is from Mexico too! It was cool, because the guy reminded me of myself. Foreign parents, but Canadian born! :P
Oh yeah, and the disappointing part... I had to work at 5:00PM (to 1:30AM) while everyone went to Jack Astor's and someone's house to hangout... That part was sad... In all, today I was in a really good mood while being disappointed at the same time... If that makes sense? :P
And tomorrow...
Is the final interview conference for prospective Outbounds! I am excited! I get to see some awesome people and meet future exchange students! :D
I just realized...
It was over two years ago when I applied for the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program... And I am wondering how the waves of life can pass by so fast...
Weekend Conference!
Okay, so... This weekend there is a Rotary conference thing. All of the Inbounds and lots of the Rebounds will be there! I am really excited to meet some new awesome exchange students and just hangout with existing awesome ones! :P
