This is not a voice, and these are not inflections. Everything about a ghost is a worsening memory in the sense that things must move forwards, collecting new pieces to replace the old, meanwhile the crowd of dead faces watching Spirit are just pieces of places and people that don't take anything anywhere, anymore.

Just like these automated lights in the Lakatos kitchen she cannot interact with, or switch off, reflecting across glass and anthracite like flickering candles. It's a cold room but she's so pink in the cheeks it's like she's heating the house from the inside out.
