Writing a paper about how hula has evolved and changed and how technology (like through tik tok people sharing hula dances) changes the hula...something something...and idk I guess I drank some sadness in my coffee this morning because I think about how all my life Polynesian people seem to not exist unless it’s in the context to someone’s exotic vacation—and people don’t know hula is more than “shakey hips uwu” and I’m only Ms. k because my last name is hard to pronounce for some reason
