Hiram x Virginia motr text under the cut, as promised. They started as a crackship around the time of her mayoral campaign because, well, you know how they are. I really liked the idea of them annoying each other and collaborating at the same time, not friends not enemies not lovers but a secret sillier thing. I never considered their situationship to be serious or narratively impacting, until motr.

Even after motr I still don't consider their situationship to be super serious, they're mostly fun to imagine locked in a perpetual cycle of annoyance and favours, though after the Marvellous they Understand each other deeply. And they're both actively trying to ignore that.

The whole situation (not yet a situationship) started when Hiram was a young disgraced solicitor, hubristic and too curious for his own good, as he's always been, and Virginia was her usual devilish self, with her revolutionary break-up backstory baggage. They never bonded, they were just the right person at the right time on each other's paths.
