For anyone worried about the recent update - be aware that since no settlement was reached - meaning the stories still differ (the victim has not recanted, the accused has not capitulated) i.e ‘contradictory assertions’ - This is simply the next step that must be taken in the investigation process. No more, no less.

Remember that articles (and authors) tend to round out stories, either as clickbait or to fill up space. Statements usually deal only in facts. And in a sensitive case like this it’s better to stick to official statements and reliable translators and take things one day at a time.

I saw your second message and I’ll answer both on here as requested. ^^

I was worried about how to answer, I’ve been trying to get back to regular posting, get back some level of normalcy on here..but after hearing Daehyun sing and watching Junnie’s instalive, I feel more hopeful. They knew we were worried, and they reached out to help. So i’ll try and do the same ^^

I have seen the things you’re talking about and the best advice I can give you is to let those people be. And i’m not implying that you are engaging with them and I’m in no way agreeing with them, but please don’t allow someone else’s decision to affect your well-being. It’s not worth it. 

People must do what makes them feel comfortable, they must be allowed to express their emotions. And we should try and let them go, without creating an emotionally-charged stress cloud around it. It’s healthier for everyone. If something is distressing, mute it / block it and move on to a safer space.

And you’re right, they probably won’t be the last. But that’s okay. Everyone looks at things differently - some see the world as very black and white, others take a more nuanced view of things. Sympathy, empathy, life experience, circumstance, all of these things come into play when dealing with a very sensitive situation.

There will soon come a time where all of us will have to make a decision. I hope and pray it’s a simple, relieved one - but there’s a chance it won’t be. And I know you’re worried about this, so I promise that no matter what you decide, I will not judge you. Not for staying, not for leaving.. and not for leaving someone behind. Even if my decision is the complete opposite of yours.

And i’m sure I won’t be the only one, the BAP tumblr family is full of good eggs. If we’re all understanding, help each other, and take care of each other, if we’re respectful and kind - we’ll definitely get through this, we’ll be alright. ^^

Hello! I was wondering if there’s been any updates on the Himchan thing? It’s been quiet for the past 2 days =\ I just know the cut out bap performance in a broadcast which sucks... man oh man I really hope they don’t resign with TS and just follow yongguk..but I have a feeling if/when they don’t TS will put out a statement that they decided not to resign them *rolls eyes*

Quiet is good. Quiet means the feeding frenzy around the situation is dying down. 24-hr news and media means people have developed gnat-level attention-spans and as soon as the next story breaks, they’re gone. 

As for KBS cutting BAP out, do I think it’s unfair? Yes. The message it sends is awful. But i’d have been even more surprised if Korea’s conservative public broadcaster, which was started, and is still somewhat controlled, by their government, didn’t err on the side of caution. Of course they’ve prejudged him, it’s what they do. We’d be fools to expect anything different.

What we know for a fact is that Himchan’s case is in the hands of the prosecutors office. They will make a decision, which will be either indictment* or dismissal. We, as part of his wider support network, have to allow everything to play out. That’s the reality of this situation, it’s purely wait and see at this point. 

*Note: ‘Indictment’ doesn’t signify guilt. It simply means, there is enough evidence, or grey area, to send the case to court. 

As for TS, well, I couldn’t give a flying flamingo what they say or don’t say. The boys need to fulfill their contractual obligations and then decide what works for them. I don’t even hate TS anymore. They’re such fools, I just can’t be bothered.

I had a dream idont rly remember what it was about but i had to make a decision to jump off a building or not n i actually jumped. I was rly scaredddd but i started to relax n was feelin @ peace as i go near the ground n i just landed perfectly. i guess the message is to not bein scared to jump.
