details & description:  

Her best friend pre-blackwater: A lot of the character is up to player (UTP) but they knew each other in high school and became besties. A lot of skipping school to go climbing and being really cute dirtbags giving like stick and poke tattoos and explaining how America works nd spending summers working at adventure camps and just being each other’s everything. 

This character is more logistically minded or able to focus on something other than setting routes and planning her climbs. They agreed to skip college and instead jump on the influencer wagon where they did surprisingly well. Time skip ahead and Mal disappears after a night out. I’m thinking she just bugs out and stages a fight between them then cuts all connection because she’s scared about hurting them.
