he paced back and forth along the corridor of the college campus he was supposed to be attending class in. instead he was awaiting Emilia to leave her class so he could casually bump into her. it had been a few months since he first made contact with the girl, but he’d managed to slowly work his way into her life as a study buddy if not an almost friend. they’d studied together a few times and met at the coffee shop that they’d once ditched her guards at more than a few times. neither of them were free with details on their backgrounds, a thing that jay hated to admit bothered him, especially with his bosses breathing down his neck to get results. he found himself actually liking her company more than just using her for information, which twisted him up a bit. this was a job and he needed to remember that. with spring break approaching he knew her family’s business would be at their best with the lower level dealers feeding the spring breakers of the world with high end merchandise. he needed to stop it. he heard the door to her class open and looked up, placing a breathtaking smile on his face as she walked out. he sent her a wink before sidling up next to her, “good morning beautiful” he greeted her with his standard greeting, “care to save me from jumping off this building? i’m slowly dying of boredom in my classes.”
