SO !!  thanks to some encouragement from @underoosed​ i’ve been trying to rewatch all of tony’s mcu material ( chronologically ) -- it may take me a while but!! i watched iron man 1 last night and GOD I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE THAT DAMN MOVE????????? it gave me so many emotions?? for tony??? and tony / pepper???? whe w it’s just so important klsdjfasdf -- anyway please give this a read if you don’t mind!! it’s kinda rambly but it’s me trying to get out some tony stark feelings/meta/info on my portrayal ( hopefully it makes sense but i’d really appreciate people checking it out )!

i’m hoping watching these over will gradually help me pick through the canon that i want to keep for tony and decide where i want to differ / how i would change it, etc. i do want to say this in general about my portrayal though ( even if it will be evolving over time which i don’t think is too unusual ): i think he’s going to be pretty heavily headcanon based -- now! a lot of the headcanons i’m developing are being influenced by my knowledge of him in the mcu ( that will grow as i rewatch ) and things i happen to read from 616 that i feel give him some more depth. as far as canon or timelines go as it pertains to plots and/or threads though? 

i’m really open! of course, i’m more familiar with the mcu storylines ( even if i gotta refresh my memory occasionally ), but i really prefer to talk and plot with people and see where that takes us -- so, if it’s a timeline i’m not initially familiar with? i’m happy to listen or learn more to mold tony into that scenario or, if it’s one he’s apart of, i can figure out how i want him to be apart of it ( if that differs from whatever canon ). idk if this makes sense or is too vague lmao i juST!!! wanted to get this written down...or something. 

BACK ON IRON MAN 1 THOUGH! wow, that’s some peak tony stark shit i’m ngl -- i mean i don’t love how christine is treated after they spend the night together, tony treating his “dates” that disposable is a little...icky. and some talk somewhere in the movie about him working through some calendar girls or something??? like i get it, he’s a “billionaire playboy” but does that automatically mean he’s gotta be kiiiind of a pig? i don’t think so, sorry! i DO understand him being up earlier in the morning and immediately to work -- that holds up lol and i do believe that when it comes to sex/relationships, he really prefers the more casual encounters because attachments are a no no! 

i just think that people can enjoy attachment free sex and be adults about it?? and that tony can fair well with the ladies ( and gentlemen ) and not be a dick about it?? IDK! i do think that he’s matured a lot slower because it makes sense to me?? someone as smart as he is who graduated from MIT at like 17???? and inherited stark industries in his eaRLY 20′s???? c’mon there’s no way he’s mentally/emotionally ready for any of that. SO! i think it definitely took him some time to grow out of the more cliche “playbloy/fuckboy” stage, but i personally think that he got more mature about it as his 40′s crept up on him. 

i think my favorite general development from iron man is tony realizing that what he’s been doing is wrong and wanting to immediately make it right the second he’s back home. a couple of the things that yinsen said to tony while they were together really stuck with me, and i believe they stuck with tony too tbh. [ so you’re a man who has everything...and nothing. // thank you for saving me. don’t waste it. ] 

he finds this new purpose and it makes my heart GROW several sizes tbh!! i mean he puts himself in harms way without really a second thought -- sometimes putting others unconsciously at risk too -- but i just!! really love that he takes those words to heart??? he starts to really see pepper and who she is to him -- that she’s all he has -- starting to ( i think ) want more out of life. he doesn’t want to be the man with everything and nothing. 

BABY BOY IS GROWIN UP ( a little late but! better late than never right! ) then that don’t waste it is just -- yeaH tony doesn’t want to waste the second chance at life he’s been given, he wants to do what’s GOOD and what’s RIGHT for a change and i just really, really love that. taking accountability for fuck ups and trying your best to make them right? that’s a look! 

ANYWAY! i’ll watch iron man 2 and the rest of his content whenever i have time ( i’ll try to watch more this weekend when i can! ) but this is what i got so far!! tbh i love iron man 1 and basically everything about it so, that made life pretty easy as far as my portrayal goes lmao thanks for reading this if you do! i juST wanted to TRY and give some insight to my thoughts / feels on tony stark atm! <33 

P.S. i forgot to add that i'm still not 100% sure if i want to follow tony outing himself as iron man so quickly??? i may be wrong but i don't think he does that in the comics and it leads to some...issues for him ( i gotta refresh my memory on it ) but! yeah i really can't decide which way i wanna go with that, maybe i'll be able to decide more when i rewatch more?? who knows! also, i'm totally open to others' insights/opinions as well since i'm definitely still learning!

LYNN OH MY GOD I FOUND OUT WHO THE UNREQUITED LOVE IS IN KENSHIN'S ROUTE AND MY HEART IS LITERALLY BREAKING INTO PIECES SOMEONE TELL CYBIRD THEY CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS TO ME AFDJDFKSGHIUFSD

It’s probably Mitsunari or Sasuke. I’m not too far into the route overall, but those two seem to be getting the most attention outside of Kenshin himself in this route.

Also, I feel like Mitsunari sort of falls for MC in nearly every route so far? He seems enamored fairly quickly with her even if he doesn’t understand to attribute it to the emotion of love. 

If it’s someone else, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Mostly, Luke had just been worried Jessica had in her head that she’d played a part in their breakup when her name had never even crossed either of their lips when they’d been discussing separating. For as much a good person Jessica was deep down, she could also be terribly self-involved.
